Joel and Sylvia's performance by Joel Lehtonen's club, Kahvila Rauha
The stage days start with Joel ja Sylvia, a performance by Joel Lehtonen's company, which will be shown at Kahvila Rauha on Friday 27.1. at 16:30 as part of the side program of the Stage Days. Admission to the show is free!

Author Joel Lehtonen and his lover Sylvia Avellan go through their passionate and desperate relationship at Joel's villa in Sääming on 13 July. 1912. Two people wounded in the storms of life cling to each other, but their differences do not seem to provide a basis for a solid relationship. The text of the play is based on Joel Lehtonen's letters and other productions. Joel himself wrote most of his lines in this play.

Teatteri Fiasko: When there are feelings - a return to childhood, in service houses
For the first time, the Työväen Näyttämöpäiväi program is coming to service buildings! Joensuu's Teatteri Fiasko will take its show Kun ona tuttoet - a return to childhood to those who are unable to come to the performance venues themselves.

Poetry and the joys of the monkey book. Descriptions of Pölhölä's Pöllö Peka and old, old Vilhelmiina. Magic and riddles. And proverbs and nursery rhymes. The aim of the show is to bring variety, culture, joy and experientiality to the everyday life of nursing home residents.

Saturday 28.1.

Festival club at Kulttuuritila 22 at 9 p.m
The festival weekend of stage days culminates in the festival club organized on Saturday at Kulttuuritila 22! 

The festival club brings together theater enthusiasts and professionals for a relaxed stay. The club night starts with Elina Knihtilän, lecturer at the University of the Arts Theater Academy, and actor-director Jussi Sorjanen  with a discussion about where the new and young theater is going. Kirsikka Moring will host the discussion. The evening culminates in a jazz gig by the local music theater association Waulingo.

Entry to the event is free! Welcome!

Sunday 28.1.

Closing ceremony at Mikkelin Theater at 15:00
At the event, the judges' thoughts on the performances seen at the festival will be heard and the audience's favorite of 2023 will be awarded. Free entry, welcome!
